Ron died December 25, 1992, in Moscow, Idaho. Born July 30, 1935, in Portland, Oregon, he attended school as a boy at Moscow, graduating from Moscow High School before attending the University of Idaho. While in high school, he became an Eagle Scout. Ron graduated in 1961 with a medical degree from George Washington University at Washington D.C., and practiced ophthalmology in Moscow until his retirement in 1989. He was past president of the Gritman Hospital Medical Staff and the Idaho State Ophthalmology Society. Ron jumped at McCall 1955-60.
