Bud, 59, died from cancer April 4, 1987, in the Truckee, California. He was born September 27, 1927, in Chico, California, and had been a resident of Truckee for the last 25 years. Bud was a forest manager in timber products at Louisiana Pacific and a veteran of WWII. A graduate of the University of California, Berkley, he was a member of the Society of American Foresters. He jumped at Missoula during the 1951 season and had three fire jumps.
