Ted died December 31, 1995 in Columbiana, OH. He was born in May 1919, in Clark Mills, New York, into a family belonging to the Christian Missionary Alliance Church. He went to grade school in Clark Mills and graduated from high school in Clinton, NY, in 1939. Ted entered Civilian Public Service when the war started and reported to a camp in Massachusetts and later to the smokejumper unit in Missoula for the 1945 season. After the war Ted worked in a hardware store and a successful bottle gas business in Middletown, OH.
