Obituary
Jack, 74, died December 27, 2004, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was born September 20, 1930, in Washington D.C. Jack was a professional forester receiving his initial degree from Virginia Tech, and a master's degree from the University of Montana. Jack spent the early part of his career in Northern California, later moving to Minnesota where he took a job as a resource analyst with the Forest Inventory and Analysis Program (USFS) in St. Paul. He spent 28 years with FIA that included traveling to Kenya and writing several encyclopedia articles on global forest resources. Jack jumped at Missoula during the 1952 season.
