Bob died May 31, 2008, in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University, and the Medical College of Alabama, Birmingham, where he served as chief resident. After serving four years in the U.S. Army as a medical officer, he returned to Birmingham to become a partner with Ophthalmology Associates and Alabama Eye Surgery. He was a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Jefferson County Medical Society. Bob jumped out of Missoula 1955-55 and was an NSA member.
