Obituary
Paul died April 25, 2008, in Goshen, Indiana. He was born Oct. 25, 1922 in Hutchinson, Kansas. He was a member of the Mennonite Church and was drafted into Civilian Public Service from Odon, Indiana, in 1943. His occupation at that time was listed as Farmer/Carpenter. He joined the smokejumper unit in Montana for the 1944 season and got 10 practice and two fire jumps that year. After the war he lived in Elkhart, Indiana, where he was self-employed listing his occupation as part time maintenance and welder foreman in a factory. Paul was active in the local Mennonite Church as a teacher and working with the boys club.
