Abstract
This document applied to part of lot 2 of block 1 of Assessor's Plat No. 9 in the City of Spokane. William Mathews was the grantor when the deed was filed and Marilu Scaler the grantee.
Racist and exclusionary language written into the deed is:
No sale, lease or occupancy of the property herein conveyed, shall be permitted to or by any person not of the Caucasian race and a violation of this condition shall cause the title of the property herein conveyed to forthwith revert to the grantors, their heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns.
