Description

Lucille Sletner was born Lucille Todd in Great Falls, Montana in 1930. Her family moved to Spokane, Washington when she was a young child, where she attended Franklin School on the South Hill. Lucille married Robert Sletner, Sr. in 1950. Lucille died in 2001.

This interview conducted by James Jewell is about Sletner's experience during World War II. In it, Sletner recalls her memories of the United States' entry into the War, her experience singing with her sisters at the Spokane USO and other venues, and the impact the War had on her family including the operation of the household and the dating life of her older sister.
