Description

Photograph of a student at Martin Laboratory School conducting a science experiment while other students watch. The boy holds a metal tin above a tea kettle that sits on a stovetop. This may be an experiment about steam in which students observe condensation and why a kettle makes noise. "B. Bryan" is written on the back of the photograph, which may stand for Bernice Bryan, an instructor in Elementary Education at Eastern Washington College of Education circa 1939.
