Description

Photograph of six students at Martin Laboratory School conducting a science experiment about magnetism. The girl on the far left of the image holds a pane of glass while the boy next to her holds a horseshoe magnet, testing if it can attract objects through the glass. On the far right, a girl tests if her magnet can attract through a piece of paper. The other three students each hold magnets and are testing what kinds of materials and metals he magnets can attract. The students all surround a table on which a few books, more horseshoe magnets and a variety of small objects are placed.
