Abstract

In Kingston's letter to his mother, he describes his activities in Thisancourt, France. He describes the French officer stationed in Thisancourt and their bilingual conversations, the methods used by locals to gather and harvest wood, and trying new local French cuisine, including dishes made from a freshly slaughtered pig. Kingston also asks how his family is back home. This letter was sent from Thisancourt, France.
