Jumper Roy Mitchell practices exit technique wearing a jump suit beneath the wing of a parked Stinson Reliant aircraft. Frank Derry is visible in the cabin of the aircraft. This photograph was taken during smokejumping experiments near Winthrop, Washington in 1939.
