This collection consists of photographs of Spokane from the early-20th century. The photographs were initially donated to the Museum of North Idaho by Yvonne Hunt before being transferred to Eastern Washington University in February 2023 due to the fact that most all of the photographs were taken in or around Spokane, Washington.
Photographs in the collection capture many of the natural features in the region including:
- Spokane River
- Little Spokane River
- Deep Creek Canyon
- Latah Creek
- Garden Springs Creek
- various basaltic formations.
The photographs were purchased by Gordon Andrea, Yvonne Hunt's father, with the identity of the photographer(s) unknown. Titles in quotation marks were taken from the envelopes that originally housed the photographs.
