Obituary

Jack, 71, died July 12, 1988. He was born February 15, 1917, in Stephenville, Texas. Records shows that he enlisted in the Marine Corps in October 1938 and was discharged in August of 1942. Jack was one of few 1944 rookies who was not part of the Civilian Public Service group. He lived in Eugene, Oregon and Missoula, Montana prior to moving to Albany, Oregon, in 1971. Jack was a road construction equipment operator and member of the American Legion Post in Sweet Home, Oregon. He jumped at Missoula for the 1944 and'45 seasons.
