Bryan, of Brookings, Oregon, died June 12, 2012, at the family homestead in Takilma, Oregon. He was born May 4, 1945, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Bryan went to College of the Redwoods and became a registered nurse when he was in his 40s, and then worked as a RN at Pelican Bay State Prison in Crescent City. He retired in 2011. He jumped at Redmond during the 1978 season.
