Larry died April 21, 2009. He graduated from the Univ. of Montana School of Forestry in 1949. He started working for the USFS but got employment with the BLM in 1950. Larry worked as a timber manager/firefighter until his retirement in 1981. Larry was a gunnery instructor in the Army Air Corps during WWII and continued to fly his Cessna 172 through 2001. He was a member of the NSA and the P-47 Pilots Association and lived in North Bend, Oregon.
