Description

A parachute is caught in the branches of three trees. The dummy hanging from the parachute's shroud lines is visible next to the tree on the left. Dick Tuttle's back is visible along the bottom of the photograph to the left of the left-most tree. This photograph was taken during the smokejumping experiments near Winthrop, Washington in 1939.
