Stan Cohen Photographs

The Stan Cohen photograph collection consists of images collected for his book A Pictorial History of Smokejumping. Many of the photographs were likely works for hire commissioned by the United States Forest Service.

Stan Cohen graduated from West Virginia University and worked for the United States Forest Service, including a summer as fire fighter at the Deschutes National Forest. Cohen is a longtime resident of Missoula, Montana and has authored several books on smokejumping and other topics.
