John died March 16, 2016, at his home in Fremont N.H. After graduating from high school in 1962 John rookied at Fairbanks in 1963 and jumped that season. John graduated from the New York Ranger School in 1963 and the University of Utah in 1965. He joined the Peace Corps in 1965 and spent several years in Africa before settling in New Hampshire in 1972 to work as an engineer.
