Abstract

In Kingstons letter to his mother, he describes his work for the YMCA. He describes that he is in a small French town south of Neufchateau called Lamarche, an engineers unit consisting of African Americans cutting timber, how the American soldiers are anxious to go home, his accommodations, and that he likes the French people. This letter was sent frrom Lamarche, France.
