Description
Photograph of the Cheney Drug Co. in Cheney, Washington. It is a false front building common to the time and has a wooden sidewalk in front. Built by F. A. Pomeroy, a Cheney physician, this brick building has housed a number of businesses since its construction. Between 1891 and 1893, some of the classes for the Cheney State Normal School were held in this building, following the destruction of the original building by fire. In 2007 the Pomeroy Block housed several businesses including a bookstore and a tavern.
